I just changed the oil and have been looking for instructions on resetting the Oil Inspection/Service indicator and cannot find anything in any of the manuals I have. The dealership suggested holding the odometer reset button down while I start the car...that doesn't work. Any BMW certified / shadetree mechanics out in Yahoo-town that can help out?

you should have a resetting tool w/c connect to the scart in your engine room,its possible to buy one of those . most of repair shop got one it takes less than a minute to reset,donot leave it too long when you star having red other wise you can not turen it to green any more though should you change a board w/c is quit expensive.BMW wants you do your services through an their authorize shop thats why they have this system,but as i said most of other repair shop got the instrument.Good luck
