How to reset oil service indicator for 2007 VW Passat?

I have a 2007 Volkswagen Passat. I recently had the oil changed, not at the dealer, and the service light is still on. How can I turn this off without taking it to the dealership? How to reset oil service indicator for 2007 VW Passat?
With the doors closed put the key in the ignition. Hold down the trip odometer reset button. Turn the key to the on position. You will see the service indicator light (wrench). Press the minute adjustment button. Release the trip odometer reset button. How to reset oil service indicator for 2007 VW Passat?
This is absolutely to right answer. I took my 2008 Jetta Wolfburg in yesterday and had the oil changed. The tech walked me through this process to turn off the wrench. This will reset the service interval until the next 5000 mile service is due. I'll be changing the oil myself the next time! Report Abuse

I don't know if there's a ';do it yourself'; way to turn the reminder off. Not all service shops know how to turn it off either, that's why its still on. Unless you know someone or some place that specializes in Volkswagens, I doubt anybody else can help you besides the dealer.
Well i'm not positive for your car but a lot of them you turn the key on(don't start it just to the on position) and pump the accelerator pedal all the way down 3 or 4 times then turn the key off.Try that and see if it works.
the only way to get it reset is to take it a vw dealer.
