Which do you recommend?Who gives the best oil change service?
An oil change is an oil change. It depends mainly on the mechanic and how much work he puts into it. Also, get synthetic oil it's better for your car and it last longer.Who gives the best oil change service?
I've read and heard horror stories about a lot of different places like dealerships, Wal-Mart, Jiffy-Lube (and others like it), Firestone (and others like it) so it seems it's the luck of the draw. When I first moved into an apartment that did not allow people working on cars, I took my car to all kinds of different places but never had a problem; but I was also watching them as they were doing it. Other than those several times, I have been the one changing the oil in my car and that's the way I like it.
You can always pay the extra money to have it done at a Cadillac dealership.
There's many oil shop out their, but if you wont to make sure the work gets done right and if something goes wrong it will get fixed you might wont to take it to the dealership for the oil change.I've seen it to many times where these small oil shop get into a hurry then don't put the right amount of oil back into the engine and there wanting to service something esle to make more money when you really don't need it done in the first place.
Anywhere except those express drive in types. They don't drain all the oil and sometimes are in too much of a hurry to change the oil filter. I work at Firestone myself and I do oil changes correctly and throughly but there is always a chance anywhere you go that you can have a bad experience. It depends on who the person is that is doing the oil change. I never let anyone change my oil but myself. I know I did it right and I can do it how I like.
i do my own... to me it saves alot of money and time just doing it yourself... but at the same time you gotta be real careful cause some people make oil changes rocket science. and you have an escalade? lol ive only worked on them... congrats
