Check Engine light came on, took the truck for service(oil, grease,Etc.) and light still on.?

This is a 93 s-10 Blazer..and after service I noticed the side of coil wire at Dist. cap blown out, replaced it, also saw tube on air filter to valve cover off and replaced that also. Light is still on...would these have activated the light? and will the light go out on its own?, or will I have to go and have it reset even if I found the issue that activated the light ? Hope someone can help me out.Check Engine light came on, took the truck for service(oil, grease,Etc.) and light still on.?
Take your vehicle to Tune Ex it might be a sensor

It happened to me and Tune Ex fixed itCheck Engine light came on, took the truck for service(oil, grease,Etc.) and light still on.?
what i would do is take your truck to an auto zone and ask them to do a diagnostics test or (an eec test) they are both the same thing and after doing this you will need to write down the codes it gives you and after that you should be able to go back in the store and the will look up the codes for you and thats a great starting point for a check engine light and by the way its free.
what ray p said
you can disconnect the battery to turn the light off but if it returns you have a problem that needs to be diagnosed!
