ive already taken it to get check but they didnt know what it was. It was very common for the oil pickup tube to get clogged and starve your motor of oil.
STOP means STOP....So driving your car CAN be ruining your engine. You need to have an oil pressure guage hooked up to verify that you have low oil pressure.
If so, they will remove the oil pan and replace the oil pump and pickup tube.

wow i guess my bf is right we both own Vws and my beetle keeps beeping the oil signal, i took it to get my oil changed and transmission fluid check %26amp; all that so there shouldnt be anything wrong...im waiting for my bf to have a day off so we can take it to get checked out cuz he says it might be a loose fuse...u might wanna take it to a cheap mechanic that messes with german cars or the VW shop..which is gonna be expensive...
