When I first turn on the ignition a picture of a spanner and insp, appears.It has just had a service, how do I get rid of it?. I got told that on BMWs when this light comes on that after so many miles the engine cuts out. Is this the case with VW polo?Vw polo 1.4s 2006 how to turn off service or oil change light?
We dont have Polo;s in the States, but tell me if there is a Wrench (or spanner to you) button on the RIGHT side of the Instrument cluster. If there is, you turn the key OFF. With your left hand, hold the wrench button down. Now turn the key to ON (where all the dash lights come on) while still holding the wrench button down take your other hand and press the Minute button on the left side of the Instrument Panel (it may be a 0.0 Button) you should see the MFI go from the Service Now messege to the Volkswagen Welcome screen. Check with the service garage. Did they actually change the oil and the filter??
