How do I turn off the Oil Service Light on my 86 BMW?

The red and yellow in the center of the dash stay on all the time, I even tried disconnecting the battery for a hour. There has to be a way to turn it off, thanksHow do I turn off the Oil Service Light on my 86 BMW?

Your BMW dealer has a tool for that. However there is a long list of items BMW considers essential when those lights go to all yellow and even more if you drive so long they turn red. They usually won't turn them off unless they perform ALL the service the book says is required. Getting them all done is why the BMW is the most expensive car, to maintain, in existence.
You need a special tool, I purchased one for my shop it cost be around 900 bucks.
