1. cracked or leaking gas cap gasket.
2. leak in the fuel line.
3. a leak in one of the vacuum hoses.
4. and a lot more or a lot less.
The best bet is to have a service technician plug in the computer to their diagnostic computer to find out the real problem or even no problem at all.

Go to Auto Zone and they will scan the computer for codes for free and you can go from there.
the service light comes on automaticaly when the car has done a set amount of miles. when the car is serviced you need to reset the service light with a special key.
